The panel provides:
- Further thermal insulating reducing space heating demand
- Façade heating and/or cooling (optional), which eliminates the need for underfloor heating
- Building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and/or solar thermal collectors (optional) increasing renewable energy production and autarky
- Ventilation with heat recovery (optional) reducing energy consumption and increasing comfort
The prefabricated module integrates a low temperature exterior hydronic wall heating system between the existing wall layer and the new added external envelope, a decentralised ventilation system with heat recovery and optionally PV-modules.

See the prefabricated panel applied in a real building
The building dates back to the 1946–1950, and consists of two floors with one flat each and a cellar/garage underground.The building area totals 287 m² (193.5 m² floor area + 93.5 m² underground). The 1st-floor flat is 81.2 m², the 2nd-floor flat 50 m² + 8.8 m² balcony.The building is built with brick walls, Hurdis ceilings, wooden purlin roof with sheet metal, no wall insulation, plastic windows (2013), and ceramic/wood flooring.

The prefabricated panels used are timber-frame façade elements designed for a quick and efficient installation. Each panel is custom-sized to fit the building’s geometry. These panels integrate multiple layers, including thermal insulation, smart glazing windows, and ventilation units, enabling a high-performance envelope. Timber Prefabricated Multifunctional Façade
The façade elements are made of a solid wood exterior cladding based on slow-grown thermo-treated pine (heat treatment to improve timber stability).
